The Osteoplug is made of biodegradable polymer that resorbs fully in vivo by hydrolysis between 18-24 months. It also facilitates natural bone healing to cover the hole permanently. It is available as plug or strip format.
Upon implantantion, blood and surrounding cells are absorbed into the pores of the scaffold via capillary action – Creating a regenerative niche that is ideal for tissue formation.
